A studio company shaped by sound and feeling
We believe great production happens when craft meets calm. Filmera Atelier builds spaces with warm terracotta textures and sage-toned focus, so your team can do its best work without hustle fatigue.
Mission
Design studios that respect talent, crews, and sound. Warm aesthetics, practical amenities, dependable logistics.
Approach
Acoustic isolation first, then flexible lighting, then the hospitality touches: tea kettles, mirrors, real chairs, natural textures.
Impact
Reduced reshoots, smoother interview days, and sets that feel kind to the people working in them.
Origins
Filmera Atelier started as a small interview studio in the Arts District. Filmmakers loved the calm palette and the way rooms sounded. Word spread. We iterated toward a family of spaces tuned to real production needs.
- 2019 First terracotta loft opens; soft plaster tests reduce slap echo.
- 2020 Sage Sound Stage debuts with isolated HVAC and pre-lit grid.
- 2022 Added drive-in stage; expanded green room standards.
- 2025 Introduced whisper-door vestibules and updated power distribution.
Team
Mara Ellin
Founder, Design
Set designer turned studio maker. Obsessed with diffusion, daylight simulation, and humane spaces.
Leo Park
Technical Director
Former gaffer. Knows where power should actually be. Calibrates pre-lit bases so you can roll faster.
Sana Ortiz
Hospitality Lead
Keeps the green rooms honest: real seating, accurate mirrors, and kettles that actually boil.
Sustainability
We prioritize durable finishes and efficient power. Our stages use LED-first rigs and house grip that reduces waste. Packaging is saved and re-used for prop storage.
